ChemoMetec NucleoCounter Systems
Automatic cell counting sytems ChemoMetec NucleoCounter use the well-known methods of staining cell nuclei with propidium iodide and subsequent fluorescence microscopy, implemented into a small, highly advanced fluorescence microscope combined with a CCD camera and hardware-based image analysis. For counting, a disposable NucleoCassette, precoated with propidium iodide, is loaded with a small volume of sample/buffer mix and then placed into the NucleoCounter. After 30 seconds the estimated total cell concentration appears on the NucleoCounter display. Depending on the preparation of the cell sample, this result represents either total or non-viable cell concentration. The optional NucleoView PC software can present viability calculations together with signal histograms and complete picture image. All results can be transferred to a spreadsheet for further processing. The NucleoCounter is maintenance and calibration free with extreme ease of use. The system is used in research and production environments. The unprecedented combination of speed, precision and user-safety makes it ideal for advanced research tasks and routine measurements in cell counting.
